Nike plans to start selling a new hijab for Muslim women next year. Nike’s version of the hijab is designed specifically for Muslim women playing sports.
The ‘Pro Hijab’ was featured in an advert for Nike last month which showcased Arab women running boxing, and rollerblading.
According to a Thomson Reuters report, Muslim consumer spending just on clothing estimated to be a staggering $243 billion in 2017. As you all are well aware that Muslims currently make up 23 percent of the world’s population, and this is expected to grow up to 30 percent by 2050, according to the Pew Research Center.
